STRATEGIES

We help you leverage technology to drive financial and social impact.

The technologies and strategies that fueled humanity's growth in the 20th century are proving insufficient to guarantee our long-term survival through the 21st century and beyond.

We need innovative technologies and strategies to ensure that the resources essential not only to survive, but to thrive, are accessible to all humans, now and in the future.

We call these technologies and strategies sustainable innovation and Seebridge exists to catalyze their accelerated development and deployment.

- Brant Richards, Seebridge Founder & CEO

BRANT RICHARDS, founder & CEO

Brant Richards’ expertise bringing technology innovation to market has been built over his 25 year career as a tech entrepreneur, venture capitalist, Fortune 100 sales, marketing and innovation manager, and non-profit managing director.

Mr. Richards co-founded energy storage pioneer Younicos AG, where he led commercial activities as the company deployed the world's first microgrid powered entirely by renewables and Europe's first megawatt-scale battery to enable greater solar and wind penetration while guaranteeing grid stability. Additionally, he managed the solar generation and electric vehicle investments of venture capital firm I-Sol Ventures and advised Germany’s largest energy and power company, e.On, as they founded their corporate innovation hub and venture fund.  Most recently, Mr. Richards was managing director of clean energy non-profit, Rocky Mountain Institute, where he led Third Derivative, the world’s largest climate tech accelerator ecosystem, comprised of 160 expert mentors across 20 countries, 12 of the globe’s most prominent climate-focused venture capital firms with $3 billion assets under management, and 11 corporate partners including Microsoft, FedEx, AT&T, Shell, Berkshire Hathaway Energies, BP, engie, BHP, Netflix and Disney. During his two years leading the accelerator, the 125 deep tech startups selected into the program for their potential to remove or abate a gigaton of carbon at scale raised over $500 million in investment capital.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Richards held various roles in marketing, operations, and P&L management for Pepsi, Coca-Cola & Nestle in North and South America and built digital tech products during the first dotcom boom of the 1990s.

Mr. Richards earned a B.S. from Stanford in Symbolic Systems with a focus on human computer interaction, artificial intelligence and human cognition and an MBA from IMD in Switzerland.
